Benthic Macroinvertebrates


Stream restoration is a great way to improve the biological function of a stream and the overall health of a watershed system. The use of Macroinvertebrates to evaluate a streams health is one way field biologist conduct a rapid assessment. I conducted a small study using macroinvertebrates and the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality's method for rapid assessment to determine the heath of a restored stream in Fairfax County, VA. Benthic Macroinvertebrates response to the Glade Stream Restoration
